Very few people can get lean and lose weight without doing cardio. The only people who can do that have superior genetics and very fast metabolisms. Typically, most people have to implement cardio to get leaner. Cardiovascular training is probably the most integral part of your training routine.
There are so many different things you can do for your cardio—jogging, sprinting, jump-roping, walking, swimming, even playing basketball. All of these activities can help you burn an infinite amount of calories. I always tell clients and the people that email me from all over the world to never neglect your cardio. Cardio and dieting truly go hand in hand to help you attain your fitness goals. If you can remember and implement that consistently in your training, you are a step ahead and coming closer to reaching your fitness goals.
My simple rule is: Cardio+Weight training+Dieting = A Lean Physique.
Breakfast is the important meal of the day. Period. It is the meal where you typically should consume most of your carbs for energy to function throughout the day. Eating a solid breakfast will also help fulfill your hunger and prevent you from binging throughout the day. In turn, this will help you minimize fat gain. When you wake up in the morning, first thing should always be to eat a big breakfast to jumpstart your metabolism. This will kick it into gear for the whole day.
For human beings, breakfast is like their gasoline. It provides the primary fuel your body needs after waking up in the morning. Some of the negatives of skipping breakfast are higher cholesterol levels, lower insulin sensitivity and consuming more calories due to hunger. For some reason, people think that not eating breakfast is a great way of losing weight. In actuality, you’ll gain weight because you will be craving calories.
