MusclePharm® Athlete sets single season rushing mark, breaking 2,000 yards!
(Tuesday, January 26, 2010)

January 4th, 2009,

Tennessee Titan’s relentless tailback, Chris Johnson, joined only 5 other athletes in the history of the NFL to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season. Johnson joined this exclusive club during Tennessee’s hard-earned victory over the Seattle Seahawks; membership includes only 5 other NFL superstars, Eric Dickerson, Jamal Lewis, Barry Sanders Terrell Davis and O.J. Simpson. When the smoke cleared on the rest of Johnson’s power-packed 2009 season, Johnson also found himself the NFL’s all-time yards from scrimmage leader with 2509 yards, surpassing the previous plateau set by legendary Marshall Faulk in 1999. With 11 straight 100 yard games this season, Chris Johnson, NFL’s “fastest man” also ran away with the Associated Press’s Offensive Player of the Year award, and a unanimous vote for the Pro-Bowl. Making his mark in the NFL in only his second season, Johnson is setting his sights even higher. Johnson is driven to become legendary in his sport, to become another household name. And with the speeding-bullet pace he’s setting for himself, it most likely won’t be long for this hard-working super hero before he reaches his goal.

Chris Johnson:  2009 Offensive Player of the Year, All-Pro, 2009 yards rushing – 2006 2009 yards from scrimmage – 2509 *NFL all-time record
